When we stayed all summer in Newfoundland, we walked the beaches every day. Newfoundland is absolutely magnificent; in the summer the whole landscape is so pretty that it takes my breath away. On the beaches, you find these plastic strips. Each one has a kind of fish and then a number. Every Newfie fisherman has his own number. The local fishermen buy the tags and then are permitted to fish or catch only as many animals as they have tags. What I love is that every single one of these tags belonged to a specific person, and was used to label their catch. I put them on this shelf.
