Found is not really what I’d call this. It was thrown out on a pile of stuff in one of Doha’s gorgeous parks. Oh my I wanted it. I loved the colors and the Arabic and then the neatly tallied bits of cable that have been written in nothing less than white-out ink on the front. Once as I was looking at this spool I realized they’d done the math wrong on one calculation. We were actually about to leave Doha when we found this, and we’d already sold our ginormous SUV and we were in a shitty, little rental car – TINY. But we kind of shoved this very, very heavy thing onto the roof and then, like, tip-toed home in the car, each of us gripping the edge of the wood.
