Wrigley’s Spearmint the Perfect Gum the Flavor Lasts Matchbook Sticker (MB517)

This is one of our customers’ favourite matchcovers.  I used to love this gum as a kid.  It was quite satisfying to slip the sugary rectangle from the foil and fold it into my mouth.  Originally this gum was made using Guatemalan rubber, but eventually the company used synthetic gum.

Wrigley’s Gum has SUCH a cool corporate backstory.  In 1891 William Wrigley moved from his home in Philadelphia to the city of Chicago with $32usd in his pocket determined to make his fortune.  So he started with “Wrigley’s Scouring Soap”, and then cleverly decided that as an incentive, if someone bought his soap, he’d given them a bit of baking powder for free.  He realized that his customers actually liked the baking powder more than they liked his soap, so he segued into the baking powder business, however, this time, every customer who bought his baking powder got two wee packages of chewing gum each time they bought a can.  Then, of course, he realized that his gum was actually the biggest and most popular thing about his baking powder, and his career turned permanently to the manufacture of chewing gum.  He must have been such a nimble, flexible thinker, so engaged in his own passions to scramble from one idea to another each time responding perfectly to the needs of the people he was reaching.

All GypsyFaith die-cut vinyl stickers are printed on glossy, premium, extra thick vinyl.  We then seal the image in clear laminate so that it will be particularly resistant to fading or tearing.  We will only sell the absolute top end of any particular product on our site.  Our intention, as we developed this product, was to make it as durable and valuable as our magnet products.

Images used to make our stickers are scanned at 9600dpi resolution, reduced to 960dpi for production.

It ships in a photo-type mailer to prevent bending.
