Shelburne Atlantic City New Jersey Matchbook Sticker (MB353)

This was not a gambling locale – it was a health destination in the 1920’s.  Salt water bathing was meant to be restorative, and the hotel actually offered both fresh and salt water in all of its baths.  It was famous for its wide porches and sunny parlors.  “Diamond Jim” Brady paid $1000 usd a week in the early 1900’s for his apartment there overlooking the ocean and died there in 1917.  It’s got such an old time glamorous feel to it, I can nearly smell the ocean air just looing at the umbrella packed bathing beach.  One of my favourite covers!

Images used to make our stickers are scanned at 9600dpi resolution, reduced to 960dpi for production.

It ships in a photo-type mailer to prevent bending.
