Ohio Safety Matches Matchbook Sticker (MB335)

This is from a proper old matchbox.  I love the sturdy paper feel of it.  So many wonderful matchcovers come out of Ohio.  I have very fond memories of Ohio – when I was first working after college I managed the marketing 37 Malibu Grand Prix locations.  Several of them were in Ohio.  The senior center there had started its own car racing club and all of these senior citizens were competing on our race track there.  I thought then that Ohio was an amazing place, to have people who would do such a thing.  Then I got to see one of the centers and in the basement a bunch of seniors had built this absolutely ginormous train village.  I mean you had to walk quite a long ways to get around the four sides of this train set.  Anyhow – I’ve ever since felt a great deal of affection for Ohio, and of course, Ohio has a huge matchcover history.

Images used to make our stickers are scanned at 9600dpi resolution, reduced to 960dpi for production.
