Mustangs are not actually wild horses, since they’re not native species, but imported.  Once horses were introduced to the land, though, they had a dramatic impact on the people.  Native Americans, who’d spent a hundreds of years chasing bison for food suddenly saw the tremendous value of having a horse as a hunting companion.  The drama and romance of a wild horse, though, is captivating.  I love the idea of there being beautiful beasts roaming around that are untamed.  Once you can control something, it’s certainly a lot less sexy.  So the mustang has a tremendous allure as a free spirited creature.  I love the pinks and purples on this label, too, as well as the spirited horse.
