Lone Star Cement Corp Incor High Early Strength Portland Cement Chuckatuck Virginia Matchbook Sticker (MB364)

This company has a wonderfully dense history to it which is recorded on the Chuckatuckhistory.com site.  I LOVED reading about the cement making process.  Once the product for the cement was mined it was transported in specially designed rail cars to be processed.  Apparently the ground around the tracks caught fire regularly, so there were people on hand whose job it was to quell those fires.  A coil anecdote about this dear old company is that the owner Harvey Saunders was called in during the crushing rock stage of production when his workers were dealing with a large blue rock that was 2 feet long and 3 feet wide  (.6 x .9 meters)- they could not process such a large rock.  The owner decided to rescue the rock, since it was one-of-a-kind – and it turned out to be a meteor.  They also unearthed a 30 million year old whale vertebrae which was ultimately employed as a door stop in a local store.  Such an important little matchcover this is, telling so many stories.

All GypsyFaith die-cut vinyl stickers are printed on glossy, premium, extra thick vinyl.  We then seal the image in clear laminate so that it will be particularly resistant to fading or tearing.  We will only sell the absolute top end of any particular product on our site.  Our intention, as we developed this product, was to make it as durable and valuable as our magnet products.

Images used to make our stickers are scanned at 9600dpi resolution, reduced to 960dpi for production.

It ships in a photo-type mailer to prevent bending.
