Knox Unflavoured Gelatin Cow Johnstown New York Food Label Sticker (FD54)

OK so this is a REALLY cool backstory.  Rose Knox was making gelatin in the kitchen with her new husband watching when he decided to go into the gelatin business.  From the beginning she was a full partner in the business, though in 1896 no other woman was in her position.  Her husband died, young, and left Rose Knox with a huge business to run in 1906.  The first day she took over she closed the back doors where the women were meant to enter and declared both sexes were good enough to enter through the front doors.  One of her senior executives complained that he would not work for a woman, so she requested his resignation.  She also established a five day work week and two weeks of paid vacation for all of her employees, a never-before-used business practice.  When the United States endured the Great Depression Mrs. Knox’s company was one of the precious few that survived and laid off zero workers.  In 1929 she was the first woman to be on the Board of Directors for the American Grocery Manufacturers’ Association.  Bad ass!  What a woman!

All GypsyFaith die-cut vinyl stickers are printed on glossy, premium, extra thick vinyl. We then seal the image in clear laminate so that it will be particularly resistant to fading or tearing. We will only sell the absolute top end of any particular product on our site. Our intention, as we developed this product, was to make it as durable and valuable as our magnet products.

Images used to make our stickers are scanned at 9600dpi resolution, reduced to 960dpi for production.
