Hotel Normandie San Juan Puerto Rico Benitez Rexach Matchbook Sticker (MB355)

This hotel was designed to mimic the lines of a French passenger ship.  It was of course designed by the man whose name adorns this cover – a Puerto Rican engineer named Felix Benitez Rexach.  he built it as a gift for his bride.   What is so cool about the early designs for this hotel is that they used signage from the French ship itself to advertise the hotel, attaching them to the hotel.  It even has portholes rather than windows.  So much romance and passion in the whole conception of this gorgeous old place, which, of course, is still there hosting guests in Puerto Rico!

It ships in a photo-type mailer to prevent bending.
