Champions Golf Club Houston Texas Matchbook Sticker (MB436)

Oh my I do love this matchcover with its brilliant green and those dazzling heavy stripes.  Jackie Burke opened this place in Texas in 1957 right after he won the Masters in Augusta.   Ralph Plummer designed the first course  — the Cypress Creek – and George Fazio designed the second one called Jackrabbit.  Golf is a beautiful game.  My father loved it.  He once thought it would be a good idea to teach me how – when we were on safari at the Mount Kenya Safari Club.  Every time I hit the ball, because we were so, so, so high, that damn thing flew forever.  After I whapped a whole bunch of golf balls to eternity in Kenya my dad decided perhaps we ought to just head to the pool.  But I loved scooting around after him in a golf cart whilst he played in his older years.  This beautiful spot still exists as an oasis for golfers.

Images used to make our stickers are scanned at 9600dpi resolution, reduced to 960dpi for production.
